I know many of these hangs are deesigned to test equipment and folks go out when it is 20 degrees below zero.
But you know what's better than being in weather that's 20 degrees below zero? Weather that isn't.

Got some meat marinating as we speak ready for the grill this Saturday! I just need to get some Fosters for the demo.
If anyone has some side safety cutters, please bring them. I would hate to drink all the beer just so I can take the top off on a Friday night...might not make it Saturday
I plan to arrive before lunch Saturday so see you guys in a couple of days.
I will bring a Fosters can, I would like to Learn... ?
I will make sure the beer is unloaded before class.... lol
My lifes story, I know I've got some side cutters, just got to find them. I'll do my best to find them. I've got two boxes of fire wood, a bag of potatoes for fire pit baking along with some fixings, should go good with the chili I think I saw someone was bringing and my sad looking incomplete DIY hammock. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I'll be there a little after noon Saturday. Gonna be fun even without the minus 20° weather
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE LEAVING (Updated Thursday)
Looks like this is actually happening!
Dates: Friday, March 15th through Sunday March 17th with most attendees arriving Saturday

Items to bring:
1) Hammock Rig
2) Cash for camping fees (I would suggest $30 or so)
3) Drinking Water!!! The campground is listed as having potable water but my buddy and I got sick from it last time.
4) At least one bundle of firewood, per person for each night staying. I'm bringing two to be safe. I love a fire.
5) Potluck Dish of some sort for Saturday dinner
6) Toilet paper. There are supplied vault toilets but it is better to be safe than rely on the forestry service.
7) Other Camping Gear you think others would benefit by seeing.
8) Obvious stuff like food, water, clothes, bourbon, etc...

People arriving Friday:
From what I saw, It looks like we should try to make our main "base of operations" at sites 37, 38, and 39. They are close together, have (relatively) a good amount of trees, and are back in their own corner. If they are available when you get there, snag them!
Adjacent to that area are sites 21-25 (we stayed at 24 this weekend) which may be a good backup plan (25 might be a good "base of operations" as well).
We will likely have to spread out, but the campground is small enough that we could surely just walk to eachother's sites to check them out.
Reservations are not allowed so a lot of this will depend on who gets there on Friday. Whoever gets there should park at the different site(s) we want to use as a base of operations and set up at least one person per site on Friday night to lay claim to them (it?). There is an area near site 39 (behind the cattle gate) where cell phone service works. I would think whoever sets up on Friday should use that access to post the sites we will meet at here.
The site only allows two vehicles per site, so anybody that wants to carpool would be helping us all out.
Sites are $20 per night, attendees will reimburse those that were there to lay claim to the sites on Friday. If there are issues with this I will cover the difference.

Weather and Warmth:
The campground is at 3,400 feet elevation.
I was there a month ago and it was warm during the day and got down to about 35 at night. We stayed up until 1, burned through 4 bundles of wood (2 hard and two soft) and had enough for breakfast the next day. I would think people that stay up late will need around 4-5 bundles of soft wood per fire ring (like most of what you buy at the store).
