Hairbear,,that is nice to know,,now you got me experimenting again as been playing with hiking poles and I like the way you can adjust the hiking poles to vairous widths playing with the lay and width. Your right. This hammock has so much versatility and I just keep on finding new ways to adjust and use it for total comfort.

My wife was actually the reason I bought the hammock-------a few weeks ago I was really stressed out and in a really bad mood , and we were having a "discussion" (a big fight) I tend to take everything way too far---especially my diy projects , and she said to me "instead of getting so stressed out making your own gear all the time, why dont you just buy a nice hammock--and then maybe you will feel more relaxed. " ---I paused for a second, and then said "you know, warbonnet has this really killer sale on right now........if I work some overtime, maybe I could buy my self an early birthday present? ---and it all worked out from there! I felt so much more relaxed once I pressed the "confirm order" button! --------not sure what the clinical term would be----hammock therapy, or warbonnet therapy?

I have to join in too. I have made numerous bridge hammocks but this is the best, and the Linx underquilts are awesome. As far as the weather cover for the bottom, not impressed. it seems to be made for other underquilts to work and fits really loosely on my Ridge Runner with 3 season linx. it keeps the quilt dry but really leaks air and wind. I am happy with these hammocks.

So would you say it's a no-brainer to just get a Lynx since I have RR? Wondering if gathered-end UQ's cover as well on the bridge hammocks?

Absolute no-brainer. The fit that is achieved by the Lynx is tight and, frankly, perfect.

Yeah, other underquilts will fit the bottom, but probably will come up well above the sides of the RR. Not a big problem...just limits access to the saddlebags. (btw HG Incubator fits the JRB BMBH very well).

But if you have the cash, the Lynx is very sweet. It's also quite light.
