1 for summer/early fall add the second to take you down into lower temps

I have seen many posts of people doubling up on quilts and from what I read it works very well and this would be a sort of modular set up maybe snap the together or something

    Just looking for ideas
This is my plan for the leftover sleeves. going to see how big a trapezoid 4 sleeves makes. I figure the single shell would work beautifully the majority of the time I hang, but also having a 1/2-3/4 length double layer pad that I can put wherever I want when it's colder should get me down below freezing with my heavier top quilt.

Picked up 3 jackets today. $14 a piece got a 3x tall and a 3x and an XL for wearing. I'm really impressed with the jacket. The zips are cheap and some stitching is iffy but overall a dang nice jacket. Can't believe I got them for $14. The non odd sizes were $20. I ordered online for $30 earlier today and cancelled after picking 3 for $44 in store. I asked why the XL was diff price and she adjusted it down to $14 for me
Thanks for the heads up! Now to think about things I want to do with them. Great ideas on here!

Yes, the tag says "Packable Goose Down Puffer Jacket" and the stuff sack that comes with it says "Puffer Jacked. Fits neatly inside this bag. 650 Fill goose down for compressible, easy packing keeps you warm & cozy"
Thanks for all the info. What I was looking at was not the puffer jackets. Will have to look around town some more.

You can use the online shopping website to check if they have stock at your store. Go to the puffer jacket page, click on a size and a color, and then a link to "find item in-store" appears next to the big red "ADD TO BAG" button. Enter your location and voila! it will list the stores within 50 miles and whether they have stock of that color/size. You need to check separately for each color/size combo, but it beats driving all the way to the store to find they don't have any. I'm glad I did that because the JCPenney I planned on going to did not have any stock, but there was one about the same distance from me that had lots of color and size options left.

heading out in the am to get 4 or 6 or 8 not sure yet

Now just to decide which idea on here will be the best

I want to make a UQ and TQ
I am a very warm sleeper so I think it might get me close to 30* with no problems
    and lower with a pad

or I might make 2 UQ's so I CAN STACK two for colder temps and 1 for 3 season use

    ???????????????????????????[B]what should I Do /B]???????????????????????????????????

Has anybody figured out a way to remove the sleeves to make a vest, zip one vest onto the other and suspend for an underquilt while being able to wear one of the vests?

I love the idea of sleeves into booties and hats too. I am thinking of shortening the sleeve for a bootie, using the extra material to form a sole for the bootie, stitching the fuzzy part of "hook & loop" (velcro) to the bootie and the hook part to a piece of Z-Rest so those walks at 3am are a matter of stepping onto the "hooked up" Z Rest and getting down to business. Removing the Z-Rest pad would be like kicking off a pair of slip on shoes at the end of the day and it's back to warm slumber, or at least in my mind it is. Has anybody got anything on that?
