Bobbin Tension - A Personal Viewpoint
Right on Rev! I have to admit that I've never done the snap thing before. I'm going to start from here on out. Checking the tension was always testing on a scrap piece and staring at it for a while, then saying "I think that looks all right..."
Can't wait for the next installment!
Great stuff, eagerly waiting for the next part
Rockin!! I went to get some fabric to start tinkering with but it was before the holidays and the store was packed and I gave up...
Need to run out again and get started!!
Jim
So it's going to be a series??
What supplies do we need to have in place to follow along? I'm going to the store this weekend!
Wow Rev, you have a Viking! Nice machine. I had that same portable Singer! My mom taught me how to sew on it and then eventually gave it to me. I just gave it to my niece so she could learn how to sew. No zig zag stitch on that old machine but the most perfect straight stitch.
Happy camper... you realize I hope the featherweight singer is a very collectible machine. Quilters love them. The Viking is an orphaned machine unfortunately. But yes it is a nice one.

Yes, I do. Looked it up on the internet a few years ago. My mom's machine still has the travel case and the original little sewing book with it and some extra gadgets added along the way. Now my niece has a very collectible sewing machine. She's 16 and will take good care of it and we've kept it in the family. Quilters must love it for that perfect straight stitch and easy to take to those cult gatherings those kind of people have.
