    If it makes you feel better....i used to air out my hammock in the basement. The cat box is also in the basement....upon packing for a three day back packing trip i failed to notice the cat used the hammock to pee in. Yes i noticed the cat pee smell, but it just prompted to clean the cat box.

    Yea....i spent two nights in a hammock that cat peed on. Still better than sleeping on the ground.

    I now air out the hammock else where....and the cat is grounded.

    Does a ripped tarp sound so bad now.

    The only thing you need to worry about is that the snakes come back after their skins...wow...just imagine how big they would be.
