    My Pot Cozy projects yesterday

The pots that I used was an Imusa 12cm, GSI Duelist, and GSI Bugaboo (only the smaller pan and frying pan). With the Imusa pot I wrapped some extra reflectix around the handle, but have not tested it while cooking yet. With the Bugaboo set the frying pan sits above the lid.

I was surprised how long that it took to do these, but I am glad that I have them done.

I have done the same for a 1 qt. Ziploc twist top container and an Evernew 0.9L pot. Did take a bit longer than I envisioned, but what the heck, not a bad way to spend some time puttering on some little project. Also put a piece of refletix inside the airspace of a Whirley cup. Just pop off the bottom and in it goes. This space is also good for tiny what-nots like a spare book/box of matches, tea bags, individual serving size instant coffee, individual sugar packages, handi-wipes, kleenex and what have you.

    In reality, there is.

Nice job. It always takes me ages to put one together. The guys on YT make it look so simple! What a great idea wrapping the reflectex (sp?) stuff on the handle of the Imusa mug. That thing gets hot hot HOT! Have you used on a stove since doing that?

The burn test with the Imusa pot was a failure. The hangle still got hot and started melting.

    See attached pics.

Bummer. I've seen people wrap the handle with wicking and then dip it in plasti-dip.

I just use a small rag or my shirt sleeve to grab it.

Nice work on the cozies. They do take a bit of time to construct, but I'm finding the more I make the quicker it goes.

    Wink

Instead of sugru. Look up oogoo. It's way way cheaper( cuz u make it) equal parts corn starch n 100% silcone. More uses then reflectix.
Dunno about temps but helps keep the cozy stand upright. My iPhone safe. And working towards a handle for my bk14.
