On one of my sets of whoopies I've noticed the braid starting to deform a little where the tail comes out of the bury. It looks like rather than being a cylindrical braid, like Amsteel usually is, the individual strands have straightened out and simply run paralell to each other for about an eighth of an inch. The braid looks fine just above and below that spot.
Now obviously this is because of the load on that spot, and I've read that this is the weak point on a whoopie sling, so that makes sense... But is this normal? I have never heard anyone on here say a whoopie has failed so I'm not terribly concerned... But I also wouldn't care to be the first.
Any thoughts here?
