I had a mosquito net head that i was using for my clothes bag. I put the drawstring between the doubled up amsteel in the corner of the ridgeline. I keep my clothes in it and use it as a pillow.

Talk to Tom (Hikingdad) owner of newly opened Northwoods Hammock Company. He has incorporated pockets before. I have slept in one of his bridge hammocks that had large pockets at both ends which proved incredibly convenient for stashing cloths and quilts and other gear. per the diagram you nest it in the grosgrain ribbon. it would just be added weight to run it the full length. The shock cord just goes to the ridgeline, the idea is to sew the main attachment points.

You could also sew the loop in before you install. You could just as easily do a third grosgrain ribbon in the middle and just tie the shock cord to anchor it.

I know we're describing the peak end of a gathered end hammock, but Brandon's Warbonnet Ridgerunner provides an ample storage area north of my head, to store a jacket, or gloves or a sweater. Kind of like a loose, extra fold of material that hangs down two or three inches, there.
At home, my Ipad fits there, nicely, as well.
