Hey guys:

I can't believe I missed this thread. I'm up the I-80 just past Auburn about half way between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. Let's keep in touch for a possible Sierra hang when the weather warms up just a bit. It's been a real low snow year so far we should be able to get into the mountains earlier than usual. I've had years where the trails were 5 feet deep with snow in June and roads on northern facing slopes were snowed in until August. But this year looks like a dry one.

Glad you guys had a good time. Maybe we can get together in a few months and all head up to the hills.

Thanks to Dangler for putting together a great Hang! The hills were very beautiful without the leaves and all that spanish moss hanging on them. Sidewinder and I joined Dangler on Saturday for an overnighter. The weather was perfect, clear and not windy. The temps that night got down to a low of 32 degrees. After dark and dinner we sat around the faux campfire that Dangler made up of his orange folding bowl lit up by his headlamp! It was a surprisingly effective camp"fire".
