Welcome from MN. One day I hope to hike/hammock your state. I've never visisted NC but, from what I see from a distance, it seems you've got a spectacular outdoors experience available.

Awesome guys. Thanks again. I plan on going to the Smoked Butt event, gotta make sure that we don't have scout stuff that weekend. OCDave, we do have great opportunities for the outdoors here. You can live from my house and be at the beach roasting in the sun or in the mountains roasting a marshmallow in about 4 hours either direction.

Welcome to HF from PA. There's nothing better than sharing outdoor experiences with your kids. My son and I started backpacking together 2 years ago and we both have enjoyed it thoroughly.
