    help. i wanna hang!!

Ok so I moved. Sad but it was for the better. I was hanging inside at my old place. Now I'm uh say in a basement type apartment. But I do have permission to do just about anything I want with the place.
    Problem is...
I want to hang inside. My walls are cinderblocks. Hollow ones at that... So any suggestions on how to hang my hammock down here? I can use the ceiling it has the floor joist from the floor above me avalible. ?

Not an internal hanger (yet) bit I have read about a few people using the floor joists in the ceiling. Any chance of a stand in the near future?

You can hang chains or eye hooks straight to the joists... If they are too tall or you don't have enough width to get your 30* hangle... You can always take a page from the turtle dog stands, eye bolts to the joist, then come down with either strap or a continuous loop as far down as needed, and then hang a pipe off of that, then throw your suspension onto the ends of the pipe as close to the hanging point as possible... I hope that's not to murky...

When we hang at a friends house, we use the floor joist in the basement. The only issue to getting the right angle is space. His ceiling joist are about 8 feet up so to get 30 degrees they need to be spaced 23-24 feet apart. If it's a semi permanent hang and you have the space you may be better off with a stand.

The idea of using a pipe to provide rigidity and allowing you to lower the anchor point so far sounds like the best option.

Hilti makes an epoxy system for anchoring in cinderblock wall called HY-70. That would be my choice.

I would run chain link down to an appropriate hight and then run a pipe from end to end. Use that as a ridge line. Just watch your head.
