    High Cliff State Park(WI)?

Hi I'm very new to hammocks and have pretty minimal camping experience. Since stumbling across this site I have taken my wife and our tablecloth hammocks to Mirror Lake State Park(WI) twice. She enjoyed both trips and I'd like to get another trip in before it gets to cold for us amateurs. I'd like to try a new place.

I looked at the Spead sheet and High Cliff seems like it might be a good option. The problem is when I planned our Mirror lake trips I was able to look at picture of the sites online and pick ones with good trees. Does any one know of car camping sites with good hammock trees at High Cliff? The only thread I found with a search involved the group section and a winter hang which isn't really what I had in mind.

Or does anyone have any other WI State park suggestions? Preferably within 3 hrs or less of the Chicago area.

Any info or ideas would be appreciated.

I will have to look it seamed that most of the sits had lots of trees
I was at one in the corner that had all trees behind the site and the hammock
Worked well I would bring some extra long straps a lot of the tree are big
I will see if I can find the camp map for the site

Thanks for the reply. It turns out I was able to find site pictures on reserveamerica. Unfortunately our trip was cancelled for family reasons. Maybe we'll make it over there in the spring.

Extra long tree staps is a good idea for car camping. I need to remember that one.
