I miss y'all! I've been trying to relive a bit of the adventure but it's not quite cutting it. For the last three days I've been cooking our meals in the dutch ovens. Dessert as well. I fired up the big griddle for breakfast this morning too! If it wasn't so hot, I'd be building a fire. Maybe a small one tonight. I need to go to sleep smelling like wood smoke!

I'm already thinking about next year!

Me too! We made shrimp and grits cause Old Dog's tasted so good! Made a special trip to the store just to pick up the ingredients. Gonna have to make a MM next weekend for breakfast! Missing waking up in the woods! Oh well its back to reality and back to work.... Bummer......!

Thanks! It was a great time. Buck lake is so centrally located its hard to find another place to replace it. You got hiking and several places to kayak with a short drive away. And amazing forum members keep showing up and make this gathering a success!

Better late than never! I just wanted to give a quick thank you to everyone who worked hard on making this years hang awesome. RichtorFla, OldDog, Gumbo, Timberrr, and LilRicky are great. I had a wonderful time learning how to make mountain man breakfast and beignets (thanks RichtorFla and Gumbo). I got some awesome tools to use (thanks OldDog). I learned how to make survival bracelets (thanks Vangaard), I caught up with some old friends, made new ones, and laughed constantly. Thanks again everybody!
