Well put together video Risk. Great tip on remembering your suspension. Mine is currently always attached to the hammock, but it may not always be....
Thanks for the video. It was fun to see who you do it. I keep modifying and tweaking my set up and having others systems to compare with helps establish baselines for my ideas.
I like the all in one use with the sock, but I'm not sure I'm sold on one.
I really want to like the UCR. I use SGT Rock's system with the mule tape and the Duthware, but I'm going back and forth on the UCRs vs. the whoopie sling (ws) that are also made of dynaglyde.

The idea of stuffing into the bottom of the pack was in "Ultralight Backpackin' Tips" by Mike Clelland, a pretty good book with some good new, and a few old ideas. It was from him that I learned of the existence of garbage compactor bags - thick enough (2 mil) to take the abuse of multiple trips.
The idea of packing up the hammock and quilts inside the sock came from a post here, but something similar was originally advocated by Jerry Goller on backpackgeartest.org or Kampfire instead of the multiple stuff sacks I was using. Essentially, this idea says that there is not much use in compressing your down if you have room in the pack. Just let the pack be full and light. The down will love you for it.

Hopefully Virginia Creeper.
Aren't those poison ivy vines.I can not tell the difference between Creeper and PI by looking at the vines, but I think I remember what the vine's leaves look like in the summer on this tree.

Risk, along with Just Jeff, you were my initial inspiration to DIY my own hammock quite a few years ago now. It is interesting to see that today you have condensed, what I believe to be, all the very best ideas currently available. Convenience, comfort and ultralight-weight all rolled into one.
If only I could find mule tape this side of the pond.
