I love mine. I hate to say, "Never", but I think my Clark is the last hammock I'll ever need (unless it gets destroyed somehow).

In case you missed it, there's a section of the forum devoted soley to Clark Jungle Hammocks. You can find plenty of feedback there. Here it is...

I'm sure you'll get a lot of other brand suggestions also. Do be sure to research each kind, and make your decision from there.

Hm....I stumbled into this forum last night due to a brilliant idea I had trying to figure out how the heck I was going to have enough room to pack everything I needed for my cross country motorcycle trip on my not so roomy bike. Many years ago I purchased a cheapo net hammock to chill out at campsites before crawling into the tent to sleep so I thought to myself, in my sleep deprived brain, why don't I just get a hammock to take and cut out the tent? That will pack up smaller than my solo tent and poles....so thinking that I had made some sort of amazing new break through in space saving lightweight camping, I got online to see where I could buy a newer slightly more comfortable hammock.
Much to my chagrin and pleasure I found this site instead......I suppose now that I have a whole set up a day later you could say I'm hooked even though I've haven't yet slung the hammock.
Me and my stupid original, not so original, ideas. Thanks for such a fount of information.....happy hanging

I'm still looking for my first hammock. I've only been hiking 2 times and I go to be closer to my son. I really do enjoy it because I'm a old fat guy and I'm hooked. I'm thinking Clark.

    Bought My First Hammock

Well after much research and looking at my bank account I decided to buy a Hennessy Deluxe hammock. I got a good deal on ebay and it comes with the snake skins for packing it up. Can't wait to give it a try. Now I have to see what else I'll need to complete the set up. This is all new to me so any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

No doubt that hanging is going to set me back a bit but it's worth every penny. I wish I had discovered it years ago. Once I find the right set up I should be good to go. All I need now is a UQ and a pad. With all the info. on this site I think I'm going to try the DIY method first to see what I can up with. This web site is a wealth of information. I had no idea so many people were into hammocks. It sure beats sleeping on rocks and roots and visits from creatures of the night.. For years I have been searching for ways to lighten my load. Hanging is the answer. Thanks to all of you for such a great web site. Once I become treebound I'll post some pics.
    Thanks Again,
    T.R.

Tents have never been my friend. I slide off the pad into the sides, there's a boulder under my butt or a stuck in my side. Rain somehow runs uphill side hill and straight into where my tent is set up. All that said I like to backpack and the tent was the system till I saw a hammock. I read up got a Hh and tried it out. I'm working on what I'll do this winter but I'm enjoying the lack of sticks, rocks, puddles and bugs. I don't need flat ground or even an established camp. It's lighter and faster making my day easier at the end. My back likes it and i sleep better. There's not a bad set up just better ones.

I have the HHED. I was wondering if anyone has used the Super Shelter 4 Season System for your HH? I spoke with a rep from the co. and he suggested this product. I only plan to do 3 season hanging right now so would this system work for me and what are your thoughts on it? Thanks in advance for your input.

P.S. Am I posting these questions in the right forum?
