For anyone nervous about their skills; don't worry; been there, done that and can tell the most embarrassing stories about my self. It'll be a good group hang. Check the weather as it gets closer and focus on thin layers of synthestics. Avoid "bulk" go for layers, no cotton and think of the outer layer as a shell to break any wind. Add a good watch cap and you're good.

Between Disco and Pyro they'll be able to make a fire, no doubt in my mind. A group hang like this is a great opportunity to learn from each other and just to enjoy the fellowship. Pyro and I can't wait!!

Sounds like water won't be a problem and the hike itself is short so you can have back up supplies in the car.

I can bring some extra 1/4" foam for underneath is anyone needs just a bit more to help take the edge off. Let me know.

    Enjoy the day

I am good with the Clockwise rotation and staying at the green listed back pack camp. If you scoped them out and feel that's the best hang spot then we can roll with your judgment easy enough!

I was just asking if we were doing both loops as the one listed in the map marked green and red is only about 4 miles per what I have read and the Cuivre River trail consists of both the North and South Loops.

I plan to try and get there around 3pm, but will post a for sure time once I get with RamenShamen and set a time to leave.

So the question is, meet at the trail head or meet at the Camp site? I think if that is the hang spot I will hang at the camp site and wait so I don't have to break down my camp and set back up again LOL.
I am ready to go now Hoot! I wonder how deep the powder is gonna be? More stuffs a' comin'.

We are 4 days away! It looks like it's going to be a bit chilly and we'll probably have snow on the ground, so it should be a good test of gear.

Meet at the trailhead at 10am
midway between Camp Sherwood Forest and Camp Derricotte. (see .pdf map below)

Dont forget to bring a stove for the stove exchange if you want to participate.

    See you all there!
With beauty all around you, may you walk.

Now that sounds like an adventure worth getting your kit strip searched in the airport for.

Ramenshamen and I will be down there mid day Friday and at Camp one. That will be the first one Located Clockwise on the Trail Map.

So.. As it get's closer I will drop a note here as to our plan as well as call Digitizer and give him a heads up. I think one of us will come out and meet you guys at the trail head thus not having to break camp. Go through all that trouble might as well leave our gear set up. But one can stay at camp and the other can go meet the crew!

Our plan is to get camp set up, firewood split and gathered etc...

I too have a wood splitting K-Bar I will bring and a folding saw. Also I will bring my magic bag of - Yes that will catch on fire and burn.

It just started snowing here in St. Louis only a 1/4 inch so far.

I am planning on being down Friday afternoon right now and Campalot will be coming down Friday evening around 5:00. I said we could meet him a trail head and help get him set up for his first night in the hammock.

Going to buy food for the weekend now.
