I usually eat dehydrated meals, like Mountain House for dinner. Stuff like a PB sandwich and apple or banana for lunch. Hairbear's tortilla, peperoni, and cheese concoction is looking pretty good though. I might try something like that this time.

I have the pocket rocket for my cooking.
Tried making underquilt for first DIY project , should have stuck with making a pillow. Wife felt so sorry for me she bought me a underquilt for my birthday. Says me sewing skills need some work lol, also signed me up for sewing 101. Now have hammock, tarp, underquilt and whoopies on the way . All I need now is some experienced hangers to help me out. Are there different size whoopie slings and what size would you recommend. Is the 7/64 amsteel heavy enough? Thanks for any input !
7/64 will work fine. They usually come in 6' or 8' length, but if you're making them, you can make them however long you want. I have all 6' whoopies on my hammocks.

Looks Like RamenShamen is coming down too Carpool!!!!!
I am heading off to the Shed to build a Stove for the Exchange. I think something flat black and light should do the trick.
Aside from a stove for the exchange, myself and related gear for me to be lazy and swing from trees, is there anything I need to bring?
Did we map out our trail hike already and the route we are taking?
Did you buy a Strap and Whoopie setup from one of the most amazing vendors we have on HF?
Which Hammock did you get? Does it have a Bug Net?
You will be surrounded by experienced Hangers that will teach you all sorts of bad habits, such as acting like a monkey hanging between two trees to sleep. Cooking Coffee without ever getting out of your hammock. Oh and most importantly how to snore loud enough to scare bears away. (Really though, we are just as excited to help as you are to get out and do this.)
Speaking of bears.... Will we be needing Bear Bags this trip??
Bought a gibbon hammock from rei, came with tree straps. Don't have anywhere to hang it at home so I hope to get to a park nearby and try to figure some of it out myself. I'll need help dialing it in so I'll take all the help that is offered. This will be my maiden voyage in hammock camping but it sounds just like something I would like. Can't wait
