I've never thought bear precautions were needed in MO. I tend to hang my pack, but to help keep raccoons and mice out.
Speaking of bears.... Will we be needing Bear Bags this trip??

What's up everyone. Still planning on coming up for the night. Just beware in MO that the bear population although small is rising and mountain lions are also becoming more numerous. Southern MO as seen a lot more sign then ever before so just in case someone gets eaten I wanted to be able to say I told you so!!

Chewy, if I get eaten while in my hammock they will have to go through 50 lbs of down just to get to me. Chances are that will give me enough time to make my escape and head for Spider and Honeybear's cave.
Good one Digitizer. As an added note, I found a yes for the VOID tabs that come with the MO trailer tag renewal. Just stick them to a piece of plastic, add string and hang from the suspension. High reflective to help find my way back to the "cave" at night. I do like your runway lights. Have fun.

Yesterday I checked out two sites at cuivre river. either site is fine with me
but there are two advantages to site 1. There are many more tree pairs to hang from and they have recently cut some small trees down close by the camp site. Its cut firewood size so there is plenty of wood for a good fire.
Not so much for camp two, far less firewood and most trees are on a steep hillside so not as good for setups.
There is water at both sites right now.
I put up some pictures in an album of both sites and there are also picts of
campground site 46 and 47 overlooking lake Lincoln. Good place for car camping. The lake is right at the bottom of stairs from the campsite and
there is a trail all the way around the lake.
Your in luck hairbear, I heard that bears don't eat tie dyed turds.
