Well done, I think it looks great. I'm going to try it out on my single nest tomorrow.

    Double vs single line

Remember...there is no need to use a double strand of dynaglide like I did. You can you a single strand of amsteel just as easily...or a single strand of dynaglide just as easily.

The heart of the rig is the adjus tability of the triangle...one continuous loop from one end of the hammock...to the tree...to the other tree...and back down to the hammock.

Many ways to personalize this rig. I thought the gram counters may also like this particular rig because you could use a single strand of dynaglide with a loop on one end.

The dynaglide can just be threaded through the sewn loops on the tree straps...I haven't tried it yet but it would be super dooper light.

This is a very interesting idea.

I may not be looking at it right but it seems like: with trees far apart the hang angle would have to be very low, and with tree close together tree straps would have to be much higher up the tree and with a much deeper sag? Unless there was some kind of adjustability of length on the dynaglide?

How easy is it to rig a tarp and adjust the height of the tarp?

Looks great for lounging though and its brilliant how easily it goes smoothly to recliner mode.

    dynaglide adustment

You adjust the length of the dynaglide (size of the triangle) with the marlin spike hitch

So if the trees are close together...you can shrink the triangle up accordingly.

Ah, I thought that I was missing something, I even read the op 3 times and looked at the pics 3x as well lol. In that case I like it, do you intend to hang your tarp from the top of the triangle or use a separate line?

    Tarp

It depends on if i'm using my big Hammock Gear winter palace tarp...or a small tarp.

The winter palace tarp can go over the top of the triangle no problem.

But if i'm using a smaller tarp that needs to hang closer to the hammock I will attach it directly to the tree.

I think it would be good in hanging a hammock on rafters or something like that.

If you looking for this to appeal to the gram weenies I would take out the doubled dynaglide. Also get rid of end peices and attach the dynaglide directly to the whip ends. Also get rid of the ridgeline and use the dynaglide for all of it.

    noobs

Well I hope lots of people enjoy it for its ease of adjustability

But I think the rig will appeal a lot to noobs like myself because it reduces the number of adjustments and compensative adjustments.
I would really love to just see some people try it out for the sake of trying it out.
