I just joined a few days ago, saw this thread and felt compelled to donate because $10 is nothing compared to the knowledge I gained since joining.

I've said it before, if you donate, Shug gets funnier, Griz gets smarter and Dutch gets even easier on the eyes.

It's well worth the money! You ought to bring that yak to the Ozark hang in March.
    It'll be alright Friday!

tncamper, is there a thread with more information on this? I have a trip planned in March but it would be interesting to see if I could maybe fit this in.

Also if this has been answered already somewhere, I'm sorry. Other than getting the donating member tag above your avatar, are there any more privileges opened up after donating? I'm still going to donate as soon as I get my next paycheck regardless, just wondering about any extras.

Well, yes. There are several off topic sections, that are not hammocks. Camp kitchen, cutlery, backpacking, paddling, clothing, and most anything else you want to talk about. Alot of info in them, I probably get the most from the camp kitchen, cutlery, and clothing, ohh and the paddling, backpacking.....RR

There is also an "Other gear and DIY".

I agree with several others about spending lots of money on things I didn't know i needed. :-)
