Thanks NCP, I enjoyed the tour.
I expect you didn't have condensation because the moisture you were generating went up, through the breathable overquilt, and out.
On my winter UQ I made the inner shell out of sil. Seems to work as hoped so far (meaning the moisture doesn't go through the UQ and get stuck between it and the non-breathable (on the bottom) sock, and I'm not swimming in a puddle.
I particularly liked the walk-through of your gear. I've been around here so long I didn't learn anything new, but this kind of thing is a great boon for the new-to-hanging folks, and I hope we see more of it.

Yep, loving the quilt. Nice and big. I tried it out as a 1/2 PeaPod type thing, but liked it better as an overquilt as there's more of it to tuck in and under and around you. Also as soon as I can make more quilts myself, I'll have some to share with the kids and use it as an underquilt again.
That's the Circuit pack in the video. I'd like the Catalyst for some things, like hiking with the kids, but I'm trying to keep pack weight down. I think I was at 25 lbs total (1 liter of water and food included), including some heavy things like a camera tripod, which was small but heavy. I have lots of places to lose the weight when it comes down to it...
Thanks for your responses. Much appreciated.

NCPatrick,
Thanks for sharing.
Although I’ve hiked and camped Stone Mt. WOW! “this kind of … >video detail< is a great boon for the new-to-hanging” and new-to;
straps-n-ridge lines, quilting, compression, condensation !!!
Me all the above…

Nice pics and videos Patrick. I have always enjoyed the area around Pilot Mtn , Mt Airy, and Stone Mtn. Used to work up there once in a while back in the 70s and 80s. Never had the time to do any hiking/camping - what a waste!
As a professional geologist, Pilot Mtn always reminds me that Mother Nature has a sensual side.
