This stuff is crazy strong. When I did line work for the phone company we would use it to pull a half mile of copper cable at a time. In a pinch we were known to use it as a tow strap to to get a 5 ton truck unstuck. Even used it to rig and fell a tree once.

    Thanks John!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Just got my package of mule tape - it was like Christmas! The tape looks brand new. I'll be using it for the bridge hammock I'm going to make.

    Thanks again, John!

We got lucky on this batch... my source saved some "hand pull" remnants... It's clean and came detangled, so it was less of a mess than this:

It still has lube on it, so washing is a good idea... if it gets damp the lube can reconstitute.

My source indicated that he might have some wider stuff in a different brand that stays flat. (other 3/4" stuff just rolled up rope-like...)
Though they rarely use it, so I won't get much or often.

John, mine arrived today as well. Thanks. It will be a while before I get the chance to start working a bridge hammock, but this should do the sides well.

Given the number of PM's I manage, I don't recall who wanted how much, but I have MORE mule tape...

If any scout troops want some, a Medium flat-rate box will hold somewhere around 600'.

A padded envelope ($7 paypal) will hold 120-150'... I get the stuff for free, and don't mind passing it along to my friends.

I can see it now... "Hey! You're that Mule Tape guy...." as I walk through a random airport. . .

So I've seen mule tape discussed before, and I see it talked about for suspensions...

Mule tape vs. Amsteel whoopies. Yes or no?
