Moving Blanket as UQ

If you can find a cheap down pillow, you can buy a shell from underquilts.com and have a nice underquilt less than $100. I bought a pillow for $20 and the shell for $50. Add in the shock cord and I only had about $80 for a very nice quilt, plus enough down left for another project. Just an idea.

All good ideas here. Part of my looking at the moving blanket was that I have 6 of them doing nothing... I love DIY projects especially when I spend no money.

I'm now thinking if I am going to spend some money, maybe I just save for a little while and make my own down underquilt. Patience... patience...

Excellent idea. I have spent lots of cash, $10 at a time, just tinkering with ideas... planning and doing a bigger project would be a better route ....
