about 10 lb gear list for spring

I am new to hammocking and i have been working on frightening up my load over the winter,naturally hammock camping came to mind. i have not bought everything yet, but this list includes all of my gear. The items that are listed as "estimated" have not been purchased yet but i have an idea of what i want and i looked up the weight for those items. Feel free to comment on ways that i can lower the weight or improve my hammocking experience without spending a lot of money.

What hammock are you using that's 15.7 oz... Weight weenie micro is closer to 5-6 oz...

If you are shooting for a light load like that, you could go with a much lighter frameless pack, like the ULA Ohm or GoLite Jam. They weigh a whole lot less than 40 oz, and usually cost about the same.

Just for the record i haven gotten the pack yet but i figure ill get a osprey exos 58.
Frameless packs make me nervous granted i have never used one but im concerned about weight distribution if i need to do some canyoneering or something that will require a heavier load. u know of anywhere online where i can rent frame-less packs to see how they work.

The Osprey Exos is a GREAT pack. Can't go wrong there. But, the Gossamer Gear Mariposa and ULA OHM 2.0 are both under 30 ounces and do have internal frame struts that'll handle the base load you're shooting for.

As far as gear, it's looking pretty good. As I read it, I had the following thoughts:
- What temps will you be in? If it drops much below 35 or so at night, I'd consider a beanie and possibly lightweight gloves.
- Rain Gear is missing a listed weight.
- Any thoughts on a bear bag? Even if bears aren't a major issue, it's often nice to hang things away from critters. That'd add about 4-6 ounces for a light-weight one.
- A camera is sometimes nice to bring.

As a point of sharing/reference, the following is my current lightweight list for 3-season backpacking here in Colorado. It'll take me down to about 20 degrees and could maybe go a touch lower. It includes a more robust first-aid/repair kit than you have here (and probably more than most need). I hike almost exclusively with my family or the boy scouts, so I like to take a bit extra in those areas.

Add toilet paper, tooth paste and a tooth brush, please. You may well be more disciplined then I am, but a few baggies of various sizes, a couple of stuff sacks, line for bagging, BIC mini-lighter usually find their way into my pack. Looks like you've missed the weight of a few things, like rain gear. Are stakes and tarp lines included.

I love doing this stuff but my brain cramps after trying to get everything written down and weighed. I feel another one coming on just thinking about your list. Good luck!

I like using geargrams.com. You only have to weigh and input once and then you can make as many different gear lists as you want. Makes it a little easier on my brain.

Stakes i have backordered some MSR carbon core stakes
rain gear i was thinking about just getting some Dri ducks rain suit and the cheapest pack cover i can find
as for bear bag i have a dry sack and some PMI utility chord , and my pitbull will kick some bear *** if necessarry.

and my go pro hero 3 black is what i'm gunna use as far as camera's go didn't include it in pack weight because if it tends too be just in my pants pocket for easy access.
