    Myakka State Forest FlatWoods site

Well, I took my little brother out for his FIRST CAMPING TRIP EVER!
Showed him the correct way to camp, with a hammock!!

He's never had to sleep in a tent before, so I should make him sleep in one to appreciate it more

Did a little more editing than usual, lemme know how you like it

Definitely piney! Looks like longleaf flatwoods scrub, for sure.

Rough walking there; I hate sugar sand, especially on those turned-over fire roads. Kills my knees after a mile or so of it. I sure do get tired fast on that stuff.

Definitely not LNT with that TP and such...but a great advertisement for hammocking! No more worries about...ahem...misguided campers' leavings.

Glad your brother had a good time of it; not everyone does their first time in an hammock. You sure are teaching him the tricks to comfort!

Looking at that pack, I'm hoping that's not your long-distance load. If it is, I may have to try and con you into carrying my stuff, too .

    Thanks for sharing!

Its pretty much my workout load. Lol.
I'm not an ultra lighter by any means, but the more I do this, the more uses I find for things and I remove others that aren't needed.

I was usually loaded down with 70lbs. Since then I've been changing my load out and I think I'm down to 40ish. I've been loosing weight on myself, that's for sure, and that's the benefit of carrying the weight.
