Second the firewood, I never bag mine after foraging and processing for the nights fire. Sure does make for a tidy campsite!

Thanks, it’s always good to get out and once a month has been a good frequency thus far. As for the photo set…I can’t take all the credit! I posted a collaboration of shots including Mick’s work.
We used two headlamps clipped the front guylines pointed up inside the tarp, an addition 9-LED flashlight was used for fill light and later cropped out.
At 2 pounds, It’s a heavy little gadget but great for winter trips (Car camping or Pulking it in) I normally use DIY Stoves but alcohol can be a bit of a pain when it’s too cold to vaporize.
Excellent pics [o]tter.
You really got a way of capturing the moment.
Most excellent lighting and pics. What camera were you using>?

Incredible photos. Loved the full moon, tarp, and the female cardinal. The males get the flashy colors, but they are just the prettiest birds. Maybe i like them because they are one of the few birds (other than obnoxious geese and mockingbirds) tough enough to stick around during winter...
Love the see through tarp pic. I still want to wipe myself with that tarp.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
I love your Photography!! they make me want to go hang right now!! Amazing!!
