    Welcome and Howdy back atcha!

No bottom insulation other than the bag? That's pretty impressive. Good cost there too.
    Trust nobody!

Welcome to HF! You didn't say whether you slept comfortably in your setup...?

At 3:30 this morning it was 34. I was sleeping on my back with my legs crossed. My right foot was on bottom. With the weight of both legs on my heel I smashed all the insulation in the foot box. I put my right foot on top and went back to sleep.

I'm not a tough guy real cold natured. My wife keeps the house above 75 year round, so I'm acclimated. My bag is a youth bag I'm 5'6" 145. I'm a side sleeper on the ground so I use the bag as a quilt (need the width to cover my knees). I really could have use an adult bag or longer quilt since I sleep often on my back (only in the hammock.)

The only reason I did not freeze is Layers and no real air gaps in the bag.

To be more comfy I could use an Under quilt and/ or a Mummy that is on the skinny side. I'm also reading up on Vapor Barriers Humidity is high around here. I live in Orange County we get 58" of rain a year and 100% Humidity year round. I'm 20 minutes from LA.

My cost is lower than the total IMO. Everything is dual purpose.

I ordered the HH ultralight and the Scout was free with Snake Skins! I know the Scout has a bad rep. Good Hammock to trash in the Yard!

I only need cold weather clothes 2 months a year (Dear Season). The Wal-mart clothes are cheap enough for work or play.

I did not sleep in my gloves but to include them in my cost. Mechanix gloves from Autozone $15.00. Could have stretched out more with gloves on.

From March till November. I wear shorts and T-shirts while hiking.
