    Questions with some panel pulls

I have just made my first tarp it's a hex with doors out of xenon sil from dutch 11 ft RL. And 5 inch cat cuts... I was wondering about all you out there that glue their panel pull patches on, what do you use as the adhesive. Seamgrip? Or more of a fabric glue? Thanks for a help. Here's some pics of the project so far

Nice work! If you're tarp is made of silicone impregnated material you need to use a silicone sealant like Silnet. Seamgrip doesn't stick to silicone materials. IIRC someone here made a video.

    Edit: found it

I did mine this way. Has worked really well so far. Mine has a pu coating on the inside so I used seamgrip.

I glued mine on and opted for no sewing around them. They have held very well. Although I rarely use them any more. I prefer the pole mod I added.

Xenon Sil is silicone coated (there's a clue in the name), so you need a silicone based sealant to glue them, like Sil-Net. SeamGrip is for PU coated materials.
Or you can mix your own with bathroom silicone sealant and mineral spirit (white spirit).

    I did it this way.
Sewed grosgrain panel pulls to Ripstop nylon circles, which I then glued to the outside with SilNet.
Some weighty reading matter holding the circles in place,

Have held up pretty good so far, I think sewing is unnecessary. And if they do fail, the damage to the tarp will be inconsequential, unlike if they were sewn through.

Well sometimes i sew on patches, sometimes i glue on patches, both have worked, none have failed so just go with what you prefer.
