Almost a new Hennessy owner (they're on the way)

Hi all, 1st ever post on this forum. I'm a regular over on MTBR though.

My son and I are avid mountain bikers and are looking to get into bikepacking when the snow is gone around here. He just ordered the Expedition and it's coming with a free Scout.

Question - I'm 5'8" tall and a fit 175#, I see a bunch of folks on here have the Scout for their kids but is it going to be pretty decent for me? I know I fall under the guidelines for it but was looking for input from adults that have used one.

We'll probably be looking at a couple of 2 nighters this summer as well as a few 1 nighters.

Thanks for the help in advance!!

They will upgrade you to Expedition for an additional $60 if you haven't ordered yet

    Welcome to the forum.

Never tried a scout, I'm not anywhere close to their ratings. I'm sure if you meet the 'guidelines', you'll enjoy it very much. Besides, if it's too small, you have a built-in excuse to get a second hammock, then a third, a forth, and so on.
    Trust nobody!

Well, I didn't pay for it so......

I believe in paying for the good stuff, (just ask my wife) but figured if this one was free I could see what I thought about hammocking. Maybe it will work for the summer at least.

I know they upgraded some of the free scouts with a bigger model because they were out of stock. Maybe you will get lucky and get the upgraded one.
