Yes there are certain advantages to being an empty nester. (Reduced funding of offspring is NOT one of them).

Thanks...I was initially concerned about the stress on the walls, but feel confident I won't have any problems.
I didn't do much...except lay in the hammock!
It's been a few years of talking about it, but mostly gettiing my daughter squared away in her house first. I'm going to really enjoy Sunday afternoon naps, that is when I'm not outside napping.
The empty nest thing is really OK. I have never had the house as usable until now. I do miss having my kids in the house, but I'm getting used to it!
