If I remember correctly you are pretty close to me in Gaithersburg. If you can swing by tomorrow, you can borrow my tarp skins and Dutch Stingerz (think I have 12'ft zingit on each end). They will clip on real easy.

Wow I really appreciate the offer! I want this to work without the extra gear first though... Kind of part of the learning process I guess. I think if I had followed Brandon's method I would have been fine. I just got a little too excited to try out the tarp and ran off half-cocked.
