    Mods to$25 Walmart hammock

    mosquito net from same tent.My dog jumps on me in the hammock so I needed to easily move it for him.

    Looks like a decent job you did there with reuse and WW materials. Congrats.
    Be careful about that suspension though. I'd be a little cautious about the breaking point of canoe straps. They are designed to hold stuff down not up. Unless you and the dog together are coming in at <100#.

    I use the canoe straps as tree straps and attach the rope that came with the hammock to them,My dog and I weigh under 160lbs.so we should be Ok.I already have the canoe straps wiyh me so its one less piece of gear to keep track of.

    $4 harbor freight tie-down straps are good for suspension... I'd hate to see you on youtube when your buddies on the river catch you falling down . . .

    Hopefully those straps will hold . . . I didn't see how they're used, the buckles should not be trusted... the forces on each strap will can exceed the weight of the occupants. . .

    I wonder how much force a canoe generates in a 70 mph headwind. A lot of surface area and a lot of leverage there. ;-)
