Are there any down top quilts that are priced similarly to what the Go lite was priced at?

Closest that I know of is the EnLIGHTened Equipment RevelationX 40*. But, it's still half again the price.
The reason those GoLite quilts were so cheap is because they were trying to get rid of stock as they transition from a wholesaler that sells to retail places to being an online retailer themselves.
Hope it helps!

Yea that's what I figured.
I talked to a Go-Lite rep today and he said their new line this spring will retail around $230.
Shucks!
While I don't recommend it for a first (or second, or probably even third) project, a DIY top quilt rated to similar temperatures and made with similar materials will run you ~$90 (maybe $100, if you need to buy thread and shock cord).
That assumes you have the equipment and skills already to do so, of course.
Otherwise, that EnLIGHTened Equipment quilt is probably your best bet for a 40* down quilt.
Hope it helps!

Those were some great deals. Too bad there all out of stock.
I really lucked out here. I had a 20 year old North Face Blue Kazoo Long that weighed 2 lbs. 2 oz. I have used for backpacking and general duty, and I mean used hard, for 20 years. Probably 20 nights a year. Thanks to the properties of goose down, it's still in fantastic shape, considering. Oh, a few sewn up burn holes, a couple of stains, but the bag is still performing like new. I don't think a synthetic bag would have done as well.
Anyway, I took it to a local sewing shop, had them cut the zipper of, cut the hood off, and install a drawstring at the top. Presto, chango! 78x58 tapering down to the footbox that was already on the bag, pulls up just to the top of my head. (6' tall, 200 lbs.) So if you do this, get a long size bag if you're my size.
They were nice. I got 2 of them last year. Pertex around the neck & feet. However, my opinion was they would barely make 40*.
A HG Burrow would cost you more, but my 40* one (sewn footbox) got me down comfortably to 29*.
