    Unhappy High winds test

So like most people on here, when it gets nasty out we test gear I was setting up my superfly tarp and when I was putting the last stake in, one of the other ones ripped out of the ground and punctured the tarp is this a rare thing or have other people had this problem too? Also do you guys think Brandon would repair it or am I out of luck

Unfortunately, this is not so rare. If at all possible, set up where you can tie off to trees or bushes instead of using stakes.

Repairing is easy. You can use Tear-Aid patches, they worked really well on my GT Double and seem permanent... Or you can do it the 'right' way and use silicone and sil-nylon patches.

Wow were you using shockcord on your tie outs?
Sorry to hear about the accident, patching is pretty easy.
    Best of luck to you.

Just one hole?!! I'm actually seriously jealous.

This weekend, it rained all night and melted my snow anchors into sugar snow. All the stakes came out when a big wind blew in from nowhere, put nearly a hundred holes in my tarp and 5 big rips

    First and last time.

I have heard of this happening WITH shock cord, but never without it. You must have had alot of tension on that stake to launch it into the tarp. Sorry to hear about the damage, hope you can get it fixed, or are able to do it yourself......RR
