I would recommend getting The Ultimate Hang book. It has a ton of helpful information in it, I have enjoyed reading it.

+1 , Definately get the book, It will answer a lot of your questions and if you are like me you will have some of those nice ah-ha moments. It's a good book and I'd recommend it to everyone thinking about getting into hammocking. Have fun and enjoy your journey.

+1 on The Ultimate Hang and these guys have covered it... just remember to hang your sweaty socks at the faaaaaaarr end of the ridgeline.
