February Special - $28 hammock for 28 days

Despite its colorful options, light weight, low stretch and great comfort, we've decided to drop pricing on our Campus Lounger for February. It's normally a $40 hammock and we're selling it for $28 in honor of the shortest month.

Please read the disclaimer about product color at the top. We'll work with you to get the right color should we run into a fabric shortage, but color choices are not absolutely guaranteed.

Is that for the double layer or the single layer.
Life looks better from a BIAS hammock.

Good question: That' for the first layer (a single layer or the first layer of a double). Tell you what... We'll make the second layer the same price. That means $56 for a double layer hammock.

I am very torn now on this deal or a WWM.... it would only be a difference (in DL) of 6oz but it would be close to $40 less. Decisions, decisions... Any insight from the experts?

What's your height/weight? The Hiker Lite when trimmed out in a DL is between 55-56 inches wide. The WWM can vary from 52-60 (your choice). If you need a wider hammock, the WWM is definitely your hammock. If you're under 200 and ultralight is your thing, the WWM is your critter. But if you're a heavier person (like I am) and/or are not a super ultralighter or hammock color matters, I'd dive on the Hiker Lite. I do think it will have a longer shelf life, for what that's worth. The tradeoff with ultralight gear is durability.

We make the WW, the WWM, the Camper, the Camper XL and the Hiker Lite... of all of these, I use a DL Hiker Lite these days (am going on a year with it). I am also 5'10 and over 200, so I don't need a wide hammock, but I do need a heavy duty hammock. Most of my trips are in my kayak, so a few ounces doesn't matter much -- but a few pounds does.
