The puffer that started it all was a coat. Most bought were XXL, XXXL or even XXXXL sizes to maximize the material. There are as many ways to put one together as your imagination allows and several threads were established including one of my own. The coats went on sale for $5 to $15 depending on the area and market forces. All in all it was a fun project and if you get a chance to, search them all and read up on it before starting to make your own. You might have a different twist on them that you want to share with the forum also.

Happy stitching and good luck to you.

Yes I have read most of the posts. Sounds like a great project. I guess the only question I had was is the one I linked to the puffer in question? Or does that one not even exist?

I must have been confused and probably still am. The link was to a puffer vest and the thread was in reference to DIY projects to convert puffer jackets that JC Penny was liquidating into UQs or TQs. I didn't notice anybody converting the puffer vests into gear but that sounds like a fun project too.

Right, It isnt available anymore. The one you linked is not the jacket in question.
    Other options are more expensive.
Some may be available from members who bought too many? Or hit up your local Goodwill to see what down jackets you can find.?
