A little intel on an upcoming purchase

    Hello fellow hangers,
I currently use a hh asym deluxe...now my son wants to try out hammock camping in the spring...not knowing whether he'll stick with it or not I was looking into either purchasing a wilderness logics night owl or a warbonnett traveler for him to test run. The reason i'm going this route is if he doesn't like it i want the hammock for myself lol. Weight limit is about 250. (For me just in case he doesn't like it) My son is 6'4 170.

This is not an inquiry to endorse one vendor over the other...just looking for some feedback on either product.

I thought it would be nice to start off small...though i love my hh the thought of not having a bug net attached even though i had it modified with a zipper, appeals to both of us.
Any intel on either of these hammocks?
    Thanks
    Walker

The WL hammock is a foot longer than the Traveler so it might be more comfortable for you son given his height.

Both are fantastic products. It will be a hard decision to make.

Question: What will you do when he loves it and wants to keep it for himself?

I can't speak to the Traveler but I love my Lite Owl. Very luxurious feel. I'm still getting the feel for my Ridgerunner (since we're in the WB forum ).

You aren't going to make a bad decision between those two hammocks.
I'm a Warbonnet guy, so that would be my choice, but it is hard to find fault with the Owls.

I have and like both, but I prefer the extra length of the Lite Owl and the ability to have a foot box on whatever side I want to place my feet.

If you are a diy guy, its pretty easy to make a similar hammock your self---using a table cloth etc.
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
