    Thru hike question:

So some of you may have seen my other post, I am getting rid of my HH Safari because I was going to hike with my girlfriend but we're no longer going together. I'd like to stick to what I know, and since I'm comfortable with Hennessy, I assume just buy from them again.
I thought I'd go for the http://hennessyhammock.com/catalog/c..._asym_classic/ because it's cheap and relatively light weight. I just don't think I could justify $80 more for 1 pound less. Anyhow, do you think this hammock would suffice for a thru?

    Yes.
My buddy in 08 hiked with that hammock. He rocks a Warbonnet now, but he did the AT 1.5 times with an Expedition Asym.
    Trust nobody!

Perfect! That's all I need to hear for me to push the trigger! I'll ask around here for a bit to see if anyone is selling one, if not, I'll just get one new. Thanks!

Most hammocks will work on the AT. You just have to baby all your gear. I used my Hennessy Explorer Ultralite A-Sym on both my Thru Hikes in 04, & 05. I put over 5,000 miles on it in 2 years, and I've been sleeping in almost on a daily basis in my home since. I just got it back from 2QZQ getting a Mod 4 Zippers on it. I wouldn't have put out the money, if I didn't think it still had many good years on it.

Hey, thru hiking the At can't be that hard, right? Didn't a blind guy do it?
The road to success is always under construction.
