How about the Ozarks?
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
I was thinking the same thing. Good idea.
I went on some fun float trips down the Current and Jack's Fork rivers there as a kid.

Looks like there would be some really good hiking there if that becomes the spot.
Trust nobody!
Missouri can get pretty hot and humid in the summer months. I did basic training at Ft Leonardwood, Mo back in 1990 and it was miserable. That would probably explain why we called it Fort Lostinthewoods, Misery.

If we go for multiple ones, I'm for a Gulf coast paddle hangout.

I like the ozarks idea as well.
Man this talk of the ozarks makes me miss my grandparents old house. They lived just outside a little town in AK called Mena. Right in the eastern foothills of the ozarks. In fact my grandparents practically owned an entire foothill out there and built the house right on top for some amazing views. I really wish my memories of that house were more vivid.....too bad also that it was sold instead of kept in the family but nobody in the family could have really moved there so it would have just been worthless estate tax for my mom and aunt. Still I miss the hell out of that place.
On note of the group hang though I'm going to go ahead and say that my chances of being able to do this are slim to none unless you happened to schedule this one of my school breaks and I happen to maybe work this as a side trip of visiting my dad and friends in DFW.
What about doing it mid-winter, so that people who are up for winter hammocking can do their thing, and for those who are not, it would make a great winter getaway to someplace warm, to group hang in the palm trees.
Group hang in destin Florida on the beech between palm trees sipping out of coconuts.
Nice idea eh?
