    golite quilt

Florida hanger here. The temp plunged to the 40s last night so I tried out all my cold weather gear. Phoenix under quilt and the golite quilt. I was toasty as expected. the quilt was extremely useful in the hammock, many times easier to use than a sleeping bag. I am 5'10" and purchased the long it filled my hammock with downy comfort. Getting in was simple, fold the quilt in half toward the foot end feel around in the dark for the foot strap then push your feet into the foot box. Last simply pull the quilt to your neck. Golite seems to have these on sale frequently gets 5 stars for price and workmanship.

They are sadly out of stock and their new line will be priced around $230.

I was looking to get one but was disappointed when I heard that news.

Bummer. I wonder if they're changing the insulation? I have 2 of them & they're good to about 40*.

I absolutely love my Golite quilt. Got lucky and picked up one of the last of the "1 season" quilts - but someone goofed, because I have been warm down below freezing with mine. Not complaining, though!

I will definately be on the lookout for one or two more for the family.

I could kick myself, it was only $99. Ive just been looking for something lighter. It only saves 4 ounces to my marmot bag but then it would have been a whole lot easier to get in it than my marmot.

I got the green 1 season Golite quilt rated to 40* while it was on sale also. I have used it a couple times now with my AHE Jarbidge (rated to 20*) and a CCF pad for my feet and have been comfy down to about 25* where long underwear and wool socks.

    I should have gotten a 2nd one....maybe the 3 season. Oh well.

I bought two of the 1 season quilts when they were on sale this past fall (a long one for me and a regular one for my daughter). Since I live in FL they are really more like 3.97 season quilts

I got to test it out last weekend when the temps dropped to about 40 or maybe a little below. I had on some long underwear and ended up being too warm and had to vent. I'm pretty sure that if I wear my long underwear and another layer or two I can get it down to freezing or a smidge below.

I'm very happy with this quilt and am confident that it will work for almost the entire year in FL.

I have both a GoLite and HammockGear Burrow. Both are extremely well made and very warm. I like the material on the GoLite (more weather resistant at head and feet) but the weight of the Burrow is just a bit less. Both are awesome!

While not super light, the ThermaRest Ventra quilt is on sale at Back Country right now.

I just ordered one as a good friend also has one and enjoys the extra size when going to ground to really sprawl out. I had a $50 gift card to Back Country so I couldnt resist for $79 and free two day shipping.

JCook5003: Thanks for the link to the quilt. Mmmmm... looks like that could easily be set up as an UQ.
