I use the Noah's 12 and have never had a problem with leakage during heavy rains. It also gives you a few pitching options for set up.

Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I have a 12 & it's been great, big and a touch heavy but lots of protection.
I've had the noah's 12 for a couple years. In my ground-dweller days (yes, I've reformed myself), I always used it as a cooking or group shelter. Very handy for keeping the group dry when you've got to get packed up and on the trail. Since last summer it's been repurposed as my hammock tarp and it's worked great. Been in lots of rain, ice & snow and never a leak. You have to watch your distance between trees with the 12' because the diagonal length is long. That size makes for a great front porch! For cold weather, I've been pitching it "pup tent style" (thanks David's Passage on youtube) and bringing in the ends to button it all down.
I made my own 12' maccat hex that I use, I almost pulled the trigger on the arrowhead toxaway.
Great feedback! Thanks!
