I like being able to go lighter when ever possible, but when storms and cold are coming and I know I am going out anyways I love this tarp.

Tree's up this way are tad big.. Long straps are a must. Not to mention the Thick underbrush. With Rain's We get.. Need good Quality covers, and insulation. Everything likes to soak up moisture.

Superfly is amazing.. It's self unloading too!!.. opened the baggie, it's slippery enough started to ooze out of bag. Lightweight an blends in nice. Just make sure to bring 550 cord.. ah next trip out.. Will fine tune it.

I like to off trail explore, as in follow game trails.

What are your plans for the 550... I love 550 but have learned that the zingit is awesome for tarp line with no stretch and ease of use... Throw in some linelocks and you have the quickest tarp tie downs I can think of...

550 cord for tie outs.. But, have some Easy Lock thingy's. Or least that is the plan.. all subject to change when trying to hang tarp up. ;-)

Great looking tarp, it's on my list! Those woods look amazing too! 550 is ok for tie outs if you dont mind the weight, not the best for rl because of the stretch though imo. But hyoh.

Odd that your pull outs have the 'V' on the outside as well as inside. Mine and others I've seen are only on the inside.

Lovin' my SuperFly! Great, very versatile tarp!

This was at last year's New Jersey Hang. Worked great!

Regarding huge trees and straps: I've found it easiest to walk the strap around the tree and then grab the trailing end when I come the rest of the way 'round. If the strap will fit around the tree, it's doable. (One of the two trees in my front yard requires an eight-foot strap to fit, so...)

I find that easier than trying to throw it to myself and catch it. YMMV, though.

    Hope it helps!

I was using figure-nines on my tie-outs until this weekend's KS Area Hang. That is where I saw that Dudorino uses prusiks on all of his. It can't get much simpler than sliding the prusik down over the stake and just pulling lines taught through the prusik knot. I switched all mine out before heading home from the hang.

Also per Dudorino...I switched my guylines from my hammock and over-cover so the prusiks are attached to the hammock/cover so lines can be easily tightened from inside the hammock.

If you haven't yet, I would suggest going to a group hang. I have learned something from everyone I have met; unfortunately somethings cannot be unlearned .
