When I first put the DND up it was dark and I didn't notice the seam in the middle but sure enough it does run right down the center.... poor design for sideways but might help if two people were laying down the length of the hammock.

Update: just tried it out with my wife and it is more comfortable with 2 people then the DN

There were several people that tried one in the past and most said that it was much more uncomfortable due to the placement of the seam. With the DoubleNest, there are two seams, but they are high up on the sides. People didn't like laying on the seam itself.

You might try a longer hammock that the ENO Double, as many find them more comfortable (GT Double, Kammok Roo, DangerBird, the new WB XLC - when it comes out - and others).

    i have to say this:

the ENO hammocks have recently had an overhaul and have some design changes. i know for a fact that the DN i have and the DN RCRacin had was 2 different sizes. One thing to look for is the old, heavy boat anchor biners. if they look like they have lighter/better rope or biners = new design and smaller overall.

when RC and i first met up, we had our respective DN's and i ended up hanging mine next to his and his was smaller. if you can, get an older one from a local outdoors shop thats had some for a while.
