We're really not getting hammered up here. The weather certainly hasn't been unusual for this time of year.
Maybe I'm jaded being that I live in the area, but this has actually been a pretty tame winter.
That does not in any way lessen Fronkey's accomplishment, mind you. Just stating the facts so most people realize he was likely very prepared for what's going on weather-wise.

Wow! What an amazing trek! I've just finished reading through this thread. Man, i am glad your pup is ok. Good luck and God speed on the last leg of it! You're an inspiration.
Here's the latest!
Fronkey and Tala successfully FINISHED THE NORTHBOUND SHT thru-hike today, the first ever thru-hike on snowshoes (so far as I know). He's on his way home and will doubtless post some more thorough updates when he gets a moment.
