    Snipe: which bugnets fit?

What after-market bugnets will work with it WITHOUT compromising UQ loft?

    Thanks

I think the eno bug net works but the BIAS buganator is the one I want next. Super big with a cool closing system and I don't think it will affect your uq.

I've got the buganator and it works well on my 11' hammocks. WL sells a bugnet. Have you checked with Marty about that? He might be willing to do something custom if that's what you're looking for.

I plan on buying the Wilderness Logics NOCEEUM BUG NET this Spring before the buggies start to bite. It looks like it should fit about any UQ when teamed with the WL Snipe. My only UQ (currently) is the HG 0* Phoenix. Looks like the bug net will facilitate another purchase .

I've got the WL bugnet which I definitely prefer in tick country. But I'm going to pick up an Arrowhead HUG too, for weight savings and cuz i want to be able to jump out of the rack easier if the General Quarters klaxon goes off (that training never seemed to go away!).

Second half of the year I prefer to just do without a net or use a headnet - but if I have light on at night to read or if I have to camp out with other fools I can find myself with way too much insect attention.

Also I've had excellent results from just hanging a bugband somewhere nearby wherever's the most exposed skin...good for mosquitoes but it does not repel every type of bug.

That is a very interesting design and something to consider.

What I really like about the WL design though is that it encases the whole hammock. I have a HH Expedition side-zip that I used last Summer before purchasing the Snipe. It kept the mossies off of me for the most part, but they were actually biting my back through the hammock itself even though the Expedition uses pretty heavy material(210D)! I actually ended up taking off my t-shirt and laying on top of that to save my back from the little bloodsuckers.
