VIDEO: Narrows Park, Little Miami River

I had a nice walk this afternoon in a pretty, snow covered park. I took my pack and practiced setting up my winter hammock. During the walk, I talk about my cleats, kilt, camera, and cook kit.

Risk... I'm just not used to seeing you in a kilt! LOL... anyways... I like your you tube videos and now you've got me thinking about hammock camping as I start to think about backpacking.

How about posting a video with close ups and explanations of all those hammock terms. Seem like it would help out people like me just looking into it.

Looks like a nice day and place for a walk! Thanks for sharing the trip. So how warm was the kilt?

Very nice video Risk! I have ordered the materials to make a "ghost" hammock similar to yours.

It was fine for hiking. It is long enough to keep my knees warm. I learned (again) at the Twin Creek Hangout that sleeping in the kilt keeps my feet warmer than sleeping in pants.

Diane would not let me wear the kilts in public in Texas. I've escaped into the frozen north and she just laughs when I hike in one now.
