Abridged directions to Point:
I recommend going to Grays Arch parking lot and park there. Walk road to Pinchem Tight mild hike that 1.7miles to a big 4 way intersection. Take a left on Rough Trail a quarter mile to UNMARKED Hanson Point trail. Go straight though semi thick weeds. You will see burned down trees and weeds from a brush fire x 2 that has occurred there. A trail will appear and follow it for a good 1/2 mile and the trail will go to the left. You will see a nice area for hanging and camping. Set up there. Then go down about 200 yards then up to a single camp site with fire ring...if you are lucky hang there. Very hard to beat someone to. Then walk past another 300 yards and you will see what you've been wanting to see. 360 view of the gorge. I recommend having breakfast there in early morn. The fog is really neat to watch swirling around the gorge below. Enjoy!
