The membership numbers are a little under-represented with regards to registrations. For instance, about once a year we remove accounts that have zero posts and no activity for a year. And while that keeps the numbers lower...stats aren't really the driving factor for the site.

The 'real' number of people that have signed up at one time or another is well over 30 thousand.

There have been a little over 8 thousand members active in the last 90 days.

I like the OP's enthusiasm. With the great community the mods have worked hard for, entrusted, and eventually developed into our foundation, I can see how we look forward to growing our like minded numbers. If just to prove to ourselves that there are more decent folks out there in the piney woods.

With the removals of inactive members do old names become available again? I had initially hoped to have the forum handle Finn but had to settle with BCFinn.

Strange, I wonder why my moniker was not removed.. I definitely was not active here for a long while. At any rate, what I have learned on this forum has been invaluable to me, so thanks to everyone who made it happen! (And thanks for keeping me on the roster )
