    Is there hope?

Ok.. deleted paracord from my setups.. Wasn't easy, so be nice...
Currently using 1.75 lash it for my tarp rl.. With the Dutchster goodies..
Life is good.. Basically lash it is worse (tangle wise) than the paracord..
Weight savings is worth it though..
I am a stealth camper....I need tarp guy out line that is just as lite and not bright orange like the speer no tangle, but just as tangle free.... Am I dreaming?
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..

I'm sure it's out there. Maybe even a thin amsteel? You could use a 7/64. Its overkill as far as weigh rating, so maybe there is something smaller that I'm not thinking of. I use the orange stuff called glow wire. Looks awesome, but not so good for a stealth camper!

How you wrap it seems to help a lot. I figure 8 mine and rarely run into tangles anymore...

You got to be dedicated when packing the tarp away. It takes an extra minute or two, but it will save you the hassle of tangles later.
Heres a handy tip for ya.

    Ha haha!

Never fear! Paracord is worth carrying still...
A 30-50' hank in the pack is a great multipurpose piece of kit for only a few ozs.

    Dont give up!

Lash-it is all I use for guylines, ridgelines.

Paracord isn't so bad, it holds a nice knot....you can remove the inner strands to save a bit of weight, but definitely not load rated after that(or before!).

The zing-it or lash-it is just superior in every way but the knots. That's why I don't use knots, but rather hitches.

Also, DIY Gear Supply sells Tech Line (a light grey) in 1.2 and 1.9mm sizes. I use the 1.2 on my bear bag, and it's stealthy enough that it's easier for me to spot the bag (olive drab brown against a brown/green background) ~12 ft off of the ground than it is for me to spot the line at a distance.

    Hope it helps!
